How Sticker the Habit began…
It all started with a competitive couple, a calendar, a pack of stickers, and a desire to stop eating so many darn sweets and exercise a bit more. Seeing stickers accumulate on the calendar each day was visual encouragement for us to keep going to maintain our habit streaks.
Eventually, a desire to stop eating sweets expanded into exercising daily, hitting step goals, going to bed before a certain time, oil pulling, avoiding industrial seed oils, practicing guitar, writing a certain number of words, and the list goes on. Over the past few years, we’ve started, stopped, and kept more habits than I can write.
We now regularly use the phrase “3 sticker day” to describe a day where we’ve successfully done (or not done) the three things we outlined. At the end of the month, the person with more 3 sticker days is the winner.
